We're starting on the second unit in English 'What a Character!' In this unit, we will read about some strange characters found in the book 'The Wizard of Oz'. Here's a video clip that you can watch after reading p22-24 of your textbook.

Wow! Although the scarecrow's brain is stuffed, he still have some sense and logic thinking! He is like an acrobat! He makes us amused! Funny clip!
I don't really agree that the scarecrow said that he has no brains because he could even think of a way of untying himself from the stick.
Shawn and Leona, I'm glad you like the video clip. Wei Xin, you're very observant. In fact, in the rest of the story, it was the scarecrow who was always coming up with solutions to the problems they encountered on their journey to find the wizard.
Mrs tay can you post up the other part of the story when they found the tin woodman and the lion, the movie is amazing and when they speak it is very clear.i love it and enjoyed it!
Hi Shawn, I've posted the video clips. They don't show the entire encounter but they're the best I could find. The VCD is available in our school library, so you can catch this classic movie there!
yes!
Perhaps scarecrow lost courage to claim that he really have a brain. But he is still smart even though he isn't a human. Scarecrow was always the main character that solves problems and comes out with solutions!
The clip is very funny
